Howard Lyman, the author of "Mad Cowboy," is a "flaming vegan" with a message about the future of human health and the vegetarian diet.
Lyman, a fourth generation cattle rancher from Great Falls, Mont., addressed a crowd of about 75 on Tuesday night at the MUB. Lyman was invited by the UNH Animal Rights Alliance (ARA) to speak about his experience with the meat industry and his vegetarian lifestyle.
"We are digging more graves with our forks than any other tool out there," Lyman said. "The average American is eating 15 to 20 percent calories from protein.
