Terre Haute, Ind. — After being prevented from exercising its First Amendment rights during a small protest at a local KFC—and being made to jump through unconstitutional hoops to hold the protest—PETA has filed a lawsuit against the city of Terre Haute with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. The complaint follows a December 30 protest at the 2525 Wabash Ave. KFC, for which PETA was required to obtain written permission from the city and provide proof of insurance.
